Grey Barn Studio is located in beautiful, rural Foster Rhode Island in a colonial barn. The studio overlooks a well-tended field that backs up to a small, private woods with a trail for walking and looking.

Art classes open to the public are offered throughout the year. Retreats – with materials, meals, snacks and encouragement supplied -- and classes for individuals and small groups are available by arrangement.

The printmaking studio is fully equipped for many kinds of printmaking with a 30” x 40” Takach press, large hot plate, small exposure unit and lithography press with a plate backer. We use non-toxic materials and processes and are always collaborating to learn the newest, safest techiniques. Workshop participants include experienced artists exploring new media and beginners and non-artists who come to simply enjoy a creative experience and to work, relax, discover and connect by making art.

Mary and Matt Harman own and operate Grey Barn Studio year round and make their work there. We welcome you to the classes we teach and to the studio to view art and furniture that is for sale. We hope that you will find creative inspiration in the quiet, clear air, and open light that surrounds our home and studios.
